University of Arizona Geography graduate student, Sucana Laketa, said riding her Free Spirit around Tucson is a “beautiful thing.”
Laketa is from Croatia, where bike lanes and paths were nonexistent.
According to Laketa, the town where she went to college just built their first bike path, which is 200 meters long. In Croatia, Laketa said the drivers would shout at you and people would have to ride their bikes on the sidewalks.
She said she enjoys riding in Tucson because of all the bike lanes and paths throughout the city.
Laketa said her favorite part of the bike was its color. She bought it four years ago to replace her previous bike that was stolen.
Did you ask her where she bought it? I bet it was a BICAS bike…
