Mr. and Mrs. Red Star arrived at 4:43 a.m. Vendors were setting up but ready to sell. Nodded at Andy Gilmour as he set up his tent.
Armed with calipers and cellphone lights (forgot the the flashlight; don’t keep one in the motor vehicle), eventually found one of the last 7 speed 126mm-spaced Shimano 600 freehubs on Earth. It was filthy but hanging in there. Out of there by 6:10 a.m. Cleaned and overhauled it by noon. Spins like it was new. Splines are fine. It’s no longer for sale. It had a good day.
