One thought on “Bicycle means freedom for Tucson cyclist”
If the bike community in general ever gets major restrictions placed on it, I believe the way BMX’ers ride in public will be the primary cause. I believe they cause drivers to be the most nervous of any style rider. They are the most unlit group of riders at night and invariably wearing dark clothes. A real lot are under 18 yrs. not wearing helmets. Sidewalk: Wrong way: Misuse of public features are things that do not contribute to a positive image for cycling in general. I admire the skill and abilities exibited it takes and I support them having places to do it, but the backlash that these riders experience will continue until the adults who advocate for the style stress a bit of restraint out in the public.
