A 54-year-old cyclist struck at 29th Street and Swan Avenue has died according to Tucson Police Department public information officer Chris Widmer .
Police identified the cyclist as Mark Scherer, 54.
Widmer said traffic investigators determined the vehicle was heading north on Swan Avenue and the bicyclists was heading west on 29th Street when he ran a red light and was struck by the motorist.
