Local musicians and friends are hosting a benefit concert for Sam Abate, a cyclist who was severely injured in a hit-and-run crash last month.

The all ages shows will take place Sunday, June 12,  6 p.m.. at Jacobs YMCA, 1010 W. Lind St.

The concert will feature local hardcore bands. The creators hope to raise money to help with Abate’s medical expenses. The driver accused of hitting Abate was uninsured.
