Another spate of stolen bikes in the Old Pueblo, reported in Tucson Velo today. Over and over again we see cable locks being naively (and ironically) applied to bikes that, shur ’nuff, are eventually and easily stolen… surprise, surprise! And the local bike shops and Wal Marts and Targets are okay with selling this useless product. The Wal Mart and Target game is one thing, but why do so many “caring” LBS here and nationwide persist in selling worthless cable locks?
