why are we trying to accommodate bicycles, pedestrians in an automobile environment? Why not do the opposite?

DrTriKat If bikes and cars are going to use the same facility, then I believe they have to do so using one set of rules. It’s too much to expect the majority user to differentiate. We use our bikes like cars and often times that means riding arterials….don’t be making up rules on arterials. There’s a lot of bad behavior on arterials. Imposing a second set of rules for bikes, I believe, will compound that bad behavior along with being an unenforceable situation. And if you’re thinking about redesigning the infrastructure, OOOOMG….take a look around!
