Local cyclist Chloe Woodruff showed the men how it is done in the third race of the Mountain Bike Association of Arizona’s 2012 race season on Saturday. With too few competitors in the Pro Women and Category 1 Women fields, Chloe chose to race with the Category 1 Men, coming in a strong 3rd place.
The Hedgehog Hustle was held at the Competition Track in Estrella Mountain Regional Park just south of Phoenix.
Drew Edsall unseated the previous points leader for the Pro Men, Mimmo Futia. Krista Park, who took the top honors in both the first and second MBAA races this season, did not race. In fact, there were no riders in the Pro Women category at this race. Full results are here.
The next race, Foray at the Fort, will be held in Sierra Vista at the Wren Arena on the Fort Huachuca Military Base on Saturday, March 17.
